I have been reading up on a raw diet even though I have a ton of allergies and am allergic to most fruits and vegetables in their raw state. I know – that whole raw idea doesn’t sound too safe for me, right?! I was told that I am allergic to an enzyme present in their raw state and once cooked the enzyme is gone. So, wondering if cooking at a low temperature will take away the enzyme and my food will be healthier. Looks like this book may answer many of my questions. I see that it is available in iTunes and Amazon. I prefer the e-book form, so will purchase and begin reading. Stay tuned!
OK – I just have to say this. I had a food dehydrator back in the 70’s and loved it, but not looking forward to a labor intense, bulky noisy dehydrator on my cupboard again. There it’s out!
