The cookbook purge unearthed a small purple book: Foods That Cause You To Lose Weight: The Negative Calorie Effect by Neal Barnard, M.D.. I think this book may be out of print as I only found it on Amazon as a used book.
I love carbs and have eaten bad carbs (empty calorie) a better part of my adult life, but as a Vegetarian and now Vegan am still drawn to them. They sooth and also have an addictive effect on me. Eat bad carbs=crave more bad carbs. I love the alternative: brown rice, Quiuoa, whole wheat pasta…. OK, so that is your teaser of what I found in this book.
